Before you write, here is most of what you may want to know.
If your question is not answered below, please write. Even a short message is enough to begin.
Getting started
Do I need a diagnosis or referral to begin?
No. Most people who write have no formal diagnosis and no referral. A brief description of what is happening in your own words is the right starting point.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually within one to two weeks for a first session. The initial 15-minute call is typically arranged within a working day of your message.
Where does the first session take place?
Either at the practice rooms in central Bangkok or online, whichever suits you. Many clients begin online and continue that way; others prefer in person from the first meeting.
Language & fit
Can sessions be in English, Thai, or both?
Yes to all three. Some clients hold the whole course in English, some in Thai, and some move between the two — using whichever language fits the material best.
What if we are not a good fit?
It happens, and it is not a failure. The 15-minute call exists partly for this. If we are not a fit, I will help you find someone who is.
Privacy
Is what I share truly confidential?
Yes. Nothing is shared with employers, insurers, family, or embassies without your explicit written consent, save for the narrow legal exceptions any psychologist is bound by. Those exceptions are described plainly in the first session.
Are sessions ever recorded?
No. Neither in-person nor online sessions are recorded. Session notes are brief and stored on an encrypted device, not in a cloud diary or shared drive.
Fees & practicalities
How long does therapy usually take?
It varies. Some concerns settle in six to twelve sessions; longer-standing patterns often need six months to a year of steady work. We review together, openly, at intervals.
Do you offer sliding-scale fees?
A limited number of reduced-fee places are held for people who could not otherwise access care. Please mention it in your first message; no explanation is required.
Can I claim on my international insurance?
Often, yes. Itemised receipts suitable for insurance submission are provided on request. Direct billing is not available.
